MARATHON MONDAY!

Happy Marathon Monday!!

I can’t believe it has been a whole year since we were in Boston. Paul ran last year and I had an absolute blast spectating. Taking a trip to Boston during Marathon Monday, even if you aren’t running, is absolutely worth it. EVERYONE celebrates!

The crowd around mile 26.

My Boston Favorites:

Neptune Oyster: The BEST lobster roll of my life. Killer chowder too: very thin, but all the FLAVOR. A required stop during your lifetime.

Visiting the top of the Prudential Center: A little pricey, but great views! See the itty bitty finish line down there?

Boston Common/Public Gardens: Picture perfect. And even the ‘Make Way for Duckings’ had tiny bibs on!

Lobster Tails at Mike’s Pastry: The cannoli was good… but the lobster tails blew my mind. Those puppies are just PACKED with cream. And they are bigger than your whole hand.

26.2 Brew: Each year Sam Adam brews a specialty beer just for the marathon. Life doesn’t get much better than when running and beer combine.

I swear a BQ is a my goal of mine.. but yeah, I’ve got a BIT of work to do :) So, good luck to all the runners out there!  Enjoy every second of it!

You can read my full recap of our trip last year here!

Have you ever been to Boston? What is something you consider must-see there?

Will you be following the race today? You better believe that my 2nd monitor is dedicated to it at work today :)

I’ve never been to Boston, but running Boston is a goal of mine too!

and YES I will be following (er, during class). So excited to see how everyone does!

Great recap from last year. It looks like they had better weather last year compared to this year. Rain + headwind = craziness. At least it’s Boston and doesn’t take away from the experience. :) I qualified twice this year, so hopefully I will be standing at the start line in 2016 (depending on what goes on with our new addition)!
